AARP Chapter 2652

AARP is an organization open to anyone 50 years of age or older. AARP provides all members an opportunity for regular socializing at monthly meetings and sponsored events and encourages members to volunteer for service projects within the community. Health Access Network (HAN)

Health Access Network has clinic locations in the rural communities of Lincoln, Medway, Millinocket, West Enfield, and Lee (Maine). HAN’s service area includes 19 organized towns, plus numerous unorganized plantations and territories, in northern central Maine with a total population of approximately 23,000 people. HAN provides comprehensive primary healthcare, dental care, podiatry, and behavioral healthcare services to all residents, regardless of their ability to pay.

Eastern Area Agency on Aging (EAAA)

Eastern Area Agency on Aging has been serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, Hancock, and Washington counties since 1973. EAAA incorporated in 1974. With a specially trained and dedicated staff, we are able to provide seniors, adults with disabilities and caregivers with a variety of options, opportunities, resources and referrals and have for almost 40 years.

Community Health and Counseling Services is a private non-profit organization that provides community-based home health, hospice, and mental health services to adults and children in central, eastern, southern and northern Maine. Recreation Department (Millinocket, East Millinocket, Medway, Woodville)

The towns of Millinocket, East Millinocket and Medway collaborate to offer recreation programs for the residents of all three towns. Every season has something fun for everyone. Our recreation department offers many programs for the youth and the young at heart in our towns. We work with the Recreation Committees in our neighbor towns to offer a wide variety of programs for the Katahdin Region.

Rep. Stephen Stanley

Rep. Stephen S. Stanley is serving his third consecutive term in the Maine House of Representatives, having previously served ten years in both the House and the Senate. Rep. Stanley is a member of Penquis Cap and the Katahdin Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2015, Stanley founded the Katahdin Revitalization Group, a volunteer organization in the Katahdin region to strengthen and support the community. He was previously county commissioner for eight years.
