ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS

Noontime meals are served to persons 60 and older in Penobscot, Piscataquis, Hancock and Washington counties, either through Meals on Wheels, in an EAAA Community Café or 3D Catering. Anyone that is 18 and older with a disability or caregiver also qualifies for these services. Please make sure you call your local Community Café for reservations. At this time meals are $4.

WIC

Woman, Infants, and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) is a supplemental nutrition program that provides healthy foods for pregnant women, breastfeeding women, and infants and children up to 5 years of age.

Outreach Clinics are held 2 to 3x a month in Millinocket and up to 6x a month in Lincoln.
In Millinocket the WIC clinic is held at I Care Ministries and in Lincoln clinics are held at the Penquis Building on Main Street.

FREE Summer Lunch for Kids

All children 18 years and younger are welcome and no application is needed. Lunches are served Monday – Friday and must be eaten on site.

COMMUNITY MEALS

Millinocket

  • Millinocket American Legion Auxiliary has suppers from 4-6 pm the second and fourth Thursday of
    the month. Deliveries are done with a phone call to 723-8808. Current cost is $8.
  • Northern Timber Cruisers Clubhouse has suppers from 4-6 pm the first and third Thursday of the
    month. For takeout orders call 723-6203. Current cost is $8.

East Millinocket

  • East Millinocket Recreation Department offers a Senior Citizen Luncheon once a month from September through May. Recommended $3 donation is suggested. The luncheons are held on a Monday but dates vary. Call 746-3553 for more information.

Medway

  • East Branch SnoRovers Clubhouse offers a Dinner and Country Music Jam every Tuesday during the Fall through Spring months. Dinner is served 4-8 pm. Items are priced individually. Call 746-9348 for more information.

Lincoln

  • First United Methodist Church every Wednesday holds a FREE Community Supper from 4:30-5:30 pm.
  • Lincoln Center Baptist Church serves a FREE Community Meal the 3rd Thursday of the month from 4:00-6:00 pm.
  • Men’s Breakfast at the Maranatha Riverside Church every Saturday at 8 am.
  • First Congregational Church of Lincoln holds a monthly bean supper the first Saturday of the month
    (except for July and December) from 4:30 – 6 pm. Recommended $6 donation is suggested.
  • First Congregational Church of Lincoln has a Men’s breakfast the first and third Wednesday of the month. A $5 donation is suggested.
  • Men’s Club Supper is the second Thursday of the month at the First Congregational Church of Lincoln. $7 suggested donation.

Springfield

  • Helping Hands Kitchen at Springfield Community Chapel offers a FREE meal on the 2nd and 4th
    Monday of the month at 5:30 pm.

Mattawamkeag

  • Mattawamkeag Baptist Church has a FREE Community Meal the 1st Saturday of the month.
  • Church of God has various community meals throughout the year.
